HIV Prevention Projects (HPP) Grant Request for Proposals (RFP) - Minnesota Dept. of Health

HIV Prevention Projects (HPP) Grant Request for Proposals (RFP)

Background Information:

Under this Request for Proposals (RFP), MDH will fund HIV testing and syringe services programs targeting those most at risk for HIV infection as part of a comprehensive strategy to reduce new infections.

Providers will be tasked with delivering services in an effort to contribute towards achieving the goals of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) as well as CDC's high-impact HIV prevention approach. This RFP is also developed to support MDH's Advancing Health Equity Initiative, which was launched in 2014 to promote health equity and reduce disease prevalence among populations disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. The goal of these activities is to prevent as many new HIV infections as possible.

While this funding opportunity does not address all persons at risk of transmitting or acquiring HIV infection, we seek to make the greatest impact possible with the amount of funding available from federal and state by focusing on prioritized populations experiencing the greatest burden of the epidemic
