Legionellosis
Healthcare providers and clinical laboratories are required to report cases and suspect cases to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Guidelines
Prevention of legionellosis is based upon proper maintenance of heating, cooling and plumbing systems. Special attention should also be given to hot tubs and whirlpool baths to keep them free of Legionella bacteria.
