Pertussis Disease Statistics, 2005
Minnesota, like other parts of the nation, is experiencing an increase in reported cases of pertussis; cases are occurring statewide. The increase is not necessarily unexpected, since pertussis disease normally peaks every three to five years. The most recent peak year was 2000. The Minnesota Department of Health continues to monitor disease levels.
Data current through December 31, 2005.
