Diarrhea (loose stools) is a common symptom of several infections that can be easily spread to other daycare children or staff. Some of these infections result in serious illness. Help prevent infections from spreading at daycare - do not allow children to attend daycare with diarrhea or vomiting.

Protect others if you are experiencing diarrhea!
Anyone with a diarrheal illness should avoid swimming in public pools or lakes, sharing baths with others, and preparing food for others.
Young children (children in diapers) that are experiencing diarrhea should not be allowed to go swimming or attend daycare.
