All invasive Streptococcal disease caused by Groups A and B Streptococci and S. pneumoniae must be reported to MDH within one working day.
Isolates are considered to be from invasive disease if they are isolated from normally sterile sites.
How to report Streptococcal disease
- ABCs Case Report Form
The ABCs Case Report Form can be used to report these diseases.

Any reportable infectious disease may be reported by phone to 651-201-5414 or 877-676-5414.
For Streptococcal disease, submission of clinical materials (isolate, if available) to MDH is required by rule.
