Announcing the Winners of the Minnesota Department of Health Tickborne Diseases Prevention Poster Contest

With so many quality entries, it was a difficult task for the judges to select just one winner in each age category. Below are the first place winning entries. Thank you so much to all those students who shared their artistic talents.

Nix the ticks
      Ticks can cause
      -Lyme Disease -Relapsing Fever -Ehrlichiosis -Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
      Be aware of ticks when in or near wooded and brushy areas
      Use EPA approved repellent
      Check yourself for ticks frequently and remove any crawling or attached ticks ASAP

First place (grades 9-12): Ryan Druce, Age 16, 10th grade

 

Be aware of ticks when in or near wooded or brushy areas, like when hiking in your favorite MN state park!

First place (grades 6-8): Jack Bieber, Age: 13, 7th grade

 

Where ever in the woofds you go, check for ticks from head to toe.

First place (grades K-5): Cadence Traynor, Age 9, 3rd Grade
