Summary

  • MIIC contains 59,516,986 immunizations for 6,582,981 clients across the lifespan.
  • 88% of client records in MIIC contain at least one immunization and 70% of client records contain at least two shots.

  • The median number of non-influenza shots in MIIC for individuals age 4 months through 5 years is 23, the median shots for those age 6 through 10 years is 24, and the median shots for those age 11 through 18 years is 20.
  • There are 3,848 organizations using the immunization registry, including primary care clinics, specialty providers, schools, child care facilities, nursing homes and long term care facilities, pharmacies, and hospitals.

Organizations Using MIIC

There are 3,848 active organizations using the immunization registry. Note: The number of active organizations in MIIC depends on how the organization chose to be set up as a registry user. For example, some health systems and school districts are set up as one "primary care clinic" or one "school."

  • All local public health agencies in the state use MIIC.
  • "Specialty provider" includes: OB-Gyns and other specialists as well as occupational health organizations.
  • "Other" includes: community vaccinators, family and social service organizations, and correctional facilities.
