NIS Vaccine Coverage Definitions

  • ≥1 Tdap: 1 or more doses of tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.
  • ≥1 MenACWY: 1 or more doses of meningococcal conjugate (MenACWY) vaccine or meningococcal-unknown type vaccine.
  • ≥1 HPV: 1 or more doses of the nine-valent, quadrivalent or bivalent human papillomavirus vaccine. HPV coverage estimates are reported by gender. 
  • HPV UTD (Up-To-Date): Includes those with 3 or more doses, and those with 2 doses when the first HPV vaccine dose was initiated prior to age 15 years and there was at least 5 months minus four days between the first and second dose.

MIIC Vaccine Coverage Definitions

  • ≥1 Tdap: 1 or more doses of tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.
  • ≥1 MCV4: 1st dose of meningococcal-conjugate vaccine.
  • MCV4 Booster: Booster dose of meningococcal-conjugate vaccine.
  • ≥1 HPV: 1 or more doses of HPV vaccine.
  • HPV Series Completion: 3 or more doses of HPV vaccine, or 2 or more doses of HPV vaccine when the first dose was initiated prior to age 15 years and there were at least five months minus 4 days between the first and second doses.
