Welcome to the home of the Minnesota Trauma Registry Alliance (MTRA)
MTRA is a voluntary, cooperative organization of persons involved with Trauma Registries and Trauma Programs in the state of Minnesota.
Trauma Program Managers and Trauma Registrars from acute care facilities throughout the state meet quarterly, along with representatives from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the National Trauma Registry (NTR), to discuss and promote best practices in the development, maintenance, and utilization of Trauma Registry software and data, and to keep abreast of the latest news and information coming from the State Trauma System.
These meetings seek to provide:
- Information exchange to foster standardization among registries.
- Trauma Program related educational opportunities.
- Assistance in the development of new registries and Trauma Programs.
- Clarity around updates to requirements by the NTR, MDH, and State Trauma System, along with ACS verification and review requirements, as they relate to Trauma Registries and Trauma Programs.
Meetings are held one Friday each quarter, and are hosted by one of the participating facilities. These meetings are generally broken into a morning and an afternoon session, with the Trauma Program Managers meeting separately during one of the sessions.
