The Rice County Mental Health Collective: A Public Health Model for Mental Health Promotion

Mental Health is a public health issue. Using a public health model, the Rice County Mental Health Collective is transforming the mental health system to better meet the needs of those living with mental illness, prevent mental illness where possible, and promote positive mental well-being at the population level. This collaborative work is based on the Georgetown Model, cited by the State Community Health Services Advisory Committee (SCHSAC) in its report on mental health. Learn about implementing the model and be a part of the ongoing learning process.
