Performance Improvement and Accreditation Workgroup (2010)

SCHSAC convened the Performance and Accreditation (PIA) Workgroup in February 2010 in the midst of calls for more accountability and efficiency in governmental services, and in anticipation of the upcoming launch of a voluntary national accreditation program for state, local and tribal health departments. The workgroup was charged with examining national standards developed by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) for state and local health departments, exploring their implications for Minnesota, and making recommendations.
