General EMS Component Description

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) portion of the Minnesota Flex Program focuses on:

  • Increasing collaboration and developing partnerships among stakeholders
  • Educating EMS staff on CAHs and the Flex Program
  • Ensuring that local EMS staff are consulted and involved in discussions related to limiting hospital hours of operation
  • Developing a stronger relationship with the state Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board, EMS data collection and workforce development.
