CPPW Communities
The Minnesota Communities Putting Prevention to Work effort was two-year program designed to promote wellness and reduce chronic diseases by changing our environment to enhance walkability, bringing healthier foods into our schools and communities, and increasing awareness of these opportunities all help to promote healthy choices.
MDH partnered with the City of Minneapolis and Olmsted County. After two years and ground-breaking work improving health on a community level, the project ended in the winter of 2012.
Minnesota's CPPW Communities was funded by the national Communities Putting Prevention to Work effort from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
