minnesota newborn screening programOption for Adults Tested as Minors |
As an adult, you may choose to have your own results and residual newborn screening specimen destroyed. |
If you would like your screening and/or blood spot destroyed, a special form is required. Again, asking that the newborn screening results and specimen be destroyed means that the results and specimen will not longer be available from MDH under any circumstances.
MDH only has test results and specimens from specific time points. Please read below before completing the Directive to Destroy Form as MDH may not have your results and/or specimen.
- The Newborn Screening Program does not have any test results archived from specimens collected before 1986.
- The Newborn Screening Program has no newborn screening blood samples archived that were collected before July 1997.
- The Newborn Screening Program has no mandatorily collected hearing screening results collected before 2007.
