About the stories on this page

With 73,000 babies born in Minnesota every year there are many stories to spotlight about newborn screening. While most families receive normal results after screening, others are changed forever by abnormal results, and some families choose not to have their babies screened. Just click on a name and let Minnesota families tell you about the difference screening made in their lives. The Newborn Screening Program thanks all the families who volunteered to share their stories and pictures.

If you would like to spotlight your family’s experience with the benefits of newborn screening, please complete the release form below and send it along with your story and picture(s) to health.newbornscreening@state.mn.us
