Contract for Health Care Quality Measurement

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) requests proposals on quality measurement and reporting of health care providers to advance quality improvement, health outcomes, transparency, and accountability in the State of Minnesota.

The goals of this project are to assist MDH in maintaining, enhancing, and refining the Minnesota Statewide Quality Reporting and Measurement System (SQRMS) and Health Care Homes quality measure benchmarking system.

Proposals must be received by 3:00 p.m., Central Time, on October 21, 2013. Work is proposed to start after November 22, 2013. For more information, visit http://www.health.state.mn.us/healthreform/rfp/index.html.

SIM Minnesota seeks input about HIT and data analytics by October 15
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) are jointly releasing a Request for Information (RFI) on Health Information and Data Analytics in Accountable Care Models as part of the Minnesota State Innovation Model (SIM) Grant. This RFI is designed to obtain input from a variety of stakeholders on a subset of Minnesota's State Innovation Model (SIM) Grant activities related to the health information technology, health information exchange, and data analytics needed to advance the Minnesota Accountable Health Model.

Directions for returning responses are on the first page of the RFI. Responses to the RFI are due on October 15, 2013. If you have any questions, please email SIM@state.mn.us. Click here to download the RFI.

Provider Peer Grouping Advisory Committee meeting October 9
The next meeting of the Provider Peer Grouping Advisory Committee is scheduled for October 9, 2013, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Neighborhood House at Wellstone Center in the West Side Room #272. The Wellstone Center is located at 179 Robie Street East, Saint Paul, MN 55107. All meetings of the advisory committee will be open to the public.

ing Communities Grants Request for Proposals

The Health Care Homes Learning Collaborative is seeking proposals from qualified professionals or organizations to plan, implement, facilitate, and evaluate Learning Communities. For the purpose of this grant, a Learning Community is defined as primary care teams from clinics who share common goals or interests, who are actively engaged in learning and implementing transformation from each other in a structured manner. Patient experience webinar for providers and clinics: "Statewide Quality Reporting: Building the Bridge to Better Care through Patient Experience Data."
On August 28, the Minnesota Medical Association (MMA) hosted a webinar about the CG-CAHPS Patient Experience of Care Survey data that was recently released by MDH and MN Community Measurement, and published on MNCM's HealthScores website. Presenters included the Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Community Measurement, Dale Shaller (a national CAHPS expert), and Allina Health. An edited version of the webinar with a clear recording is now available from MNCM on its corporate website in the "Webinar & Events" tab and on the MNCM Data Portal "under the "Resources" tab. MMA has also posted the webinar on its website.

So far MNsure's coverage costs are lowest among U.S. exchanges
The Minnesota Department of Commerce on Friday released rates for MNsure insurance policies. Commerce officials said that MNsure premiums are lower than those in any of the other 17 states that have released similar information. Rates for policies available on MNsure for the individual market will start as low as $90.59 for a 25 year-old, non-smoker living in the Twin Cities. The Minnesota Department of Health also released information about the 15 provider networks approved for MNsure.
