Webinar objectives:

  • Understand the reasons for the drive to adopt Health Information Technology (HIT)
  • Be able to identify the national health care goals underlying the CMS incentives
  • Describe the elements that make up the objectives and quality measures
  • Be able to identify how the meaningful use objectives and quality measures will support providers in achieving the goals of a health care home

Presenter's bio: Dr. Kleeberg is the Clinical Director of the Regional Extension Assistance Center for HIT (REACH), funded by the recovery act to assist small hospitals and primary care providers adopt and become meaningful users of electronic health records in Minnesota and North Dakota.  He is a member of the Minnesota eHealth Advisory Committee and co-chairs its Meaningful Use and Exchange Workgroup.  Dr. Kleeberg received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Minnesota.  He is board certified in family medicine, is a fellow in both the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and in the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) and is a Certified Professional in Health Information Technology (CPHIT).
