Health Care Homes (aka Medical Homes) - Payment Methodology Development - Comment Period
November 16-December 4, 2009
Over the last six months, three work groups and a steering committee composed of a broad range of health care stakeholders have developed policies, principles and mechanisms for how certified health care homes could be reimbursed. These advisory recommendations to the Commissioners of the Minnesota Department of Human Services and the Minnesota Department of Health will directly inform the payment methodology for the Minnesota Public Health Care Programs, as well as others addressed by the legislation creating this multi-payer effort.
At a November 16 public meeting, the leaders of these work groups presented their draft recommendations. Full written summaries are available below.
Through 5 p.m. CST on Friday, December 4, you are welcome to submit your written comments and feedback on the proposed health care home payment methodology electronically using the feedback form. Please reply to DHS.HCH@state.mn.us.
