Chart Creator - Violence-related Hospital Data
Step 1: Choose the type of data you want your chart to display
These data are not mutually exclusive. For instance, a patient who was raped by an intimate partner would be included in both intimate partner and sexual violence charts.
Intimate partner violence: Hospital-treated incidence where the patient is age 12 or older and injured by a intimate partner (current or former spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, date or acquaintance) (technical definition).
Sexual violence: Hospital-treated incidence involving a patient of any age, for treatment of any completed or attempted sex act in which the patient was forced against his or her will, or was unable to consent (technical definition).
Child maltreatment: Hospital-treated incidence where the patient is age nine or younger (excluding unborn offspring), and is physically, sexually or psychologically abused or neglected by a person directly or indirectly responsible for the child, including a parent (biological, adoptive, step or foster), legal guardian, parent's significant other, or caretaker (such as a babysitter or residential facility staff) (technical definition).
The Minnesota Department of Health attempts to report all data accurately. If you discover an error, please

By using this system, you agree to not share these data in ways that would identify individuals or provide
information on any malicious acts.
