Speakers

Bringing in new faces and outside resources can often provide an additional perspective on various topics.  While not all inclusive, here is a list of speakers in the prevention education field that are available to provide workshops on a variety of topics.  Although MDH cannot endorse specific speakers, agencies, and curriculum, this list is a starting point for resources on topics of interest related to healthy school environments.

Local Speakers

We encourage, when possible, to use local trainers and speakers, especially when working with youth. We have found through various focus groups that youth feel more comfortable using resources and contacting organizations when they have a familiar face and name with that organization. This would give you the opportunity to make that connection.
