Fire and Fall Prevention
The Minnesota Program to Prevent Fire and Fall-Related Injuries Among Older Adults uses the "Remembering When" curriculum, developed by NFPA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to reduce the risk of fire and fall-related injuries and deaths in adults age 65 and older. Public health staff in Aitkin and Itasca counties promote fire and fall prevention through community presentations and senior home visiting programs. The program is funded by the CDC.Related links:
