Bicycle Injuries

The Injury and Violence Prevention Unit represents The Minnesota Department of Health on the State Bicycle Advisory Committee, which includes additional state agencies and organizations concerned with the prevention of bicycle injuries. The Minnesota Department of Health has supported legislative proposals to encourage bicycle commuting. The unit also works with the Minnesota Safety Council and other agencies to distribute helmets, and cooperates in bicycle safety events.
