Ken: Summertime in Minnesota is West Nile Virus time. The mosquitoes that spread West Nile Virus in Minnesota thrive in our western farming regions, but they’re also found in many other parts of our state. West Nile Virus can cause serious life changing illness or death, so don’t take chances. If you’re outside at dusk or dawn from July thru September protect yourself from mosquitoes, wear a repellent that contains DEET or picaridin.

Announcer: This message from the Minnesota Department of Health.
