About the Healthcare System Preparedness Program (HSPP)

The prime focus of the Minnesota Healthcare System Preparedness Program is to continue to develop, implement and intensify regional healthcare system preparedness plans and protocols to enhance the ability of hospitals and health care systems to prepare for and respond to terrorism and other public health emergencies. These emergency preparedness and response efforts are intended to support the National Response Framework and the National Incident Management System. The Minnesota Healthcare Preparedness Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Human Services (HHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Recovery (ASPR). Additional funding from the State of Minnesota also supports this program.
