Closed POD (Point of Dispensing) Partner Resources

Closed PODs are sites where medications are dispensed to people affiliated with that location.  Universities, community agencies, extended care facilities and other organizations can serve their students, residents and employees.

Closed PODs in Minnesota

  • Closed POD organizations become partners of public health to develop an agreement and a response plan, and to operate in accordance with guidance of CDC and MDH. Materials and training are provided to the closed POD administrator, medical director, and staff. Opportunities for workshops and exercises may be provided.
