Commercial Tobacco-Free Communities Grant Program

The Commercial Tobacco-Free Communities Grant Program funds local community grants and technical assistance and training (TA) grants that aim to reduce and prevent youth commercial tobacco use and address commercial tobacco-related disparities in Minnesota by promoting community-driven prevention and cessation activities and strategies.

Community grantees implement activities that help build community capacity, change social norms around commercial tobacco use, and foster community readiness and support for commercial tobacco control policies within their communities. TA providers support community grantees by ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and resources to be successful in reducing commercial tobacco-related health disparities and the negative influence of commercial tobacco in their communities.
