General Surgeon Work Group Surveys Level 3 Trauma Hospitals
The Surgeon Work Group met for the first time in December. The charge is to evaluate current criteria that relates to general surgeons and recommend changes if necessary. Read more about their charge.
The workgroup developed and mailed a brief survey about how the role of the general surgeon is being operationalized in level 3 trauma hospitals. Responses will help the workgroup understand current practices and develop recommendations for the STAC. Level 3 trauma program managers should look for the survey in January. Participation is very important!
