Pilot Sites Sought to Test New Electronic Application
Hospitals currently submit a paper application for designation as a trauma center and every three years thereafter for re-designation. A new electronic application is expected to be available very soon. A new online application is currently being tested that will create an electronic profile for the trauma center that can simply be updated and resubmitted when re-designation time rolls around. It is expected to save hospitals and trauma system staff a considerable amount of time.
Pilot sites are needed to test the new application. Interested hospitals planning to apply for designation or re-designation and are interested in being part of the pilot project should contact contact the trauma system designation coordinator to participate in the pilot project.
