STAC Adopts New Recommended Trauma Activation Indicators
A their March 2012 meeting the State Trauma Advisory Council voted to recommend a new set of trauma team activation indicators. The new indicators will better identify trauma patients with potentially serious injuries. They will also exercise the trauma team more frequently than under the old indicators.
While the new indicators are only recommendations, all trauma centers are strongly encouraged to re-evaluate their current trauma activation indicators and consider adopting the new recommendations. View the new recommendations. (PDF: 1 page/59 KB)
