Health in all policies: The what, why, and how...

Hennepin County

Health in all policies: The what, why, and how...(PPT) is a presentation that articulates why Hennepin County should implement a Health in All Policies approach, and how it might do so.

This PowerPoint presentation shares basic information with county leaders about how to implement a Health in All Policies (HiAP) approach. The slides and speaker's notes in this presentation describe the basics of HiAP, including why HiAP is needed, how to conduct HiAP, and illustrates HiAP with an example from Hennepin County.

When to use

A variation of this presentation might be useful for deciding whether to implement a HiAP strategy to advance health equity. Once it has been decided to utilize a HiAP approach, a variation of the presentation might be used to elicit support from other departments in your organization, from staff, or from policymakers.

Things to consider

Four of the 19 slides, and several of the presenter's notes, are specific to Hennepin County and would need to be modified.
