The Health Economics Program (HEP) is a fast-paced, creative workplace responding to real time policy challenges. HEP conducts research and applied policy analysis to inform policy makers, consumers, and other stakeholders in Minnesota's health care system. We focus on monitoring changes in the health care marketplace; understanding the factors that influence health care cost, quality and access; and providing technical assistance in the development of state health care policy.

Student Worker Paraprofessional Senior/ Student Worker Paraprofessional

The Health Economics Program of the Minnesota Department of Health is hiring Student Workers for the upcoming academic year!

Student Workers assist with a number of projects within the Health Economics Program (HEP) related to analyzing health care cost, conducting health services research, monitoring and studying the health care market, or performing research about prescription drug prices and use. Tasks may include assisting with data collection and data cleaning, computing descriptive and inferential statistics, assessing the completeness and quality of data submission and reporting, and conducting literature reviews in support current research projects. Student Workers participate in the preparation of issue briefs and other work products related to these projects, and assist HEP staff with projects, as needed.

We are hiring up to two positions for the Student Worker Paraprofessional, under this announcement.
