Surgeries and Procedures During COVID-19 - Minnesota Dept. of Health
CDC's new COVID-19 by County community level recommendations do not apply in health care settings, such as hospitals and nursing homes. Instead, health care settings should continue to use CDC's COVID Data Tracker community transmission rates and continue to follow CDC and MDH's infection prevention and control recommendations for health care settings.

Surgeries and Procedures During COVID-19

Hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers and clinics, including dental, veterinary, mobile, and other facilities performing surgeries and procedures are encouraged to consider MDH guidance to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 among staff and patients, and to preserve resources (such as staffing, bed space, personal protective equipment, and ventilators) needed to care for patients with COVID-19. In addition, health care facilities must continue to follow all applicable federal and state regulatory standards, some of which may address measures to prevent infection.
