Support Services to Families: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Role Model/Mentor Program Request for Proposal (RFP)

The Minnesota Department of Health has announced the release of the 2021 Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Support Services to Families: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Role Model/Mentor Program. MDH is seeking grant applications from nonprofit organizations to provide trained DHH role models/mentors to provide individualized support and assistance to families of children who are DHH. This funding aims to promote children's development of strong language and social skills, regardless of the route or routes taken by the family (e.g., Listening and Spoken Language, Cued Speech, Combined Communication Strategies, or American Sign Language (ASL)). Applicants should plan their program to provide role models/mentors that match the needs and communication choices of the families they are serving.

Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations.
