Life Connections provides a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental setting for anyone facing an unexpected pregnancy or with parenting concerns.  We have free, on-site pregnancy testing, maternity clothing, and infant supplies (diapers, clothes, blankets, formula, etc.). You are not required to take classes to receive our services, although we DO have an amazing education program! We offer life coaching and CPR/First Aid training from certified staff, as well as parenting and pregnancy education on a multitude of topics. There are four certified car seat technicians who can answer car seat questions or help qualified clients receive a free car seat. We have a safe sleep program, helping clients obtain free pack and plays/cribs. Life Connections provides emergency financial assistance to qualifying families through our HeartBEATS program. We can also connect you with many community agencies and programs.

All our services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL, and we are available to those of all income levels. We serve people from any county. Spanish interpreters are available. Please call 320-762-1224 for hours. Life Connections is here to help--because LIFE matters!

Services Provided * Together for Life Northland is a residential program that provides supportive services to mothers ages 21+ who are pregnant or with an infant needing housing and a program for up to 18 months, with the primary goal of moving them towards economic self-sufficiency through pursuing school or work. Other services include basic needs; transportation to medical and dental appointments; access to pregnancy care classes, parenting classes, nutritional support; mentoring activities are provided free of charge. Residents stay through pregnancy and may (place for adoption or) parent their babies at Together for Life Northland during the early months after birth. They agree in writing to work in the program and to uphold standards conducive to learning and personal growth. Supportive services are also provided to the mothers after they go through the graduation phase and leave the program.

Services Provided * Birthright, also known by the legal name Emergency Pregnancy Service of Rochester, offers kindness, compassion, and support to women wondering if they are pregnant, to pregnant women, and to parenting moms/families in need. All services are free and confidential; no judgement, no pressure. Birthright offers free pregnancy testing, however we are not a clinic or medical provider. Birthright also accepts donations of gently used and new infant and maternity clothes; offered free to clients in need. In addition, Birthright has an emergency supply of diapers, wipes, and baby wash for moms/parents struggling to meet their baby's hygiene needs. Through community donations, Birthright offers layette gift bags for mothers of newborns. A Birthright advisor meets with every client to assess their needs and offer guidance. Referrals are provided to community agencies that may help in meeting client's needs and/or addressing concerns. Educational material is available. Walk-In office hours are offered; no appointment needed. For a list of Walk-In hours, call the office at 507-288-9374 and listen to the recorded message. Our office is located just off South Broadway in Soldiers Field Plaza (across from Soldiers Field Park) in downtown Rochester; easily accessible by bus, and parking is free. Birthright has been helping women in southeastern Minnesota since 1970.

Services Provided * Options for Women has been offering assistance to pregnant women and women with babies and young children since 2004. Services Provided * Certified site providing Centering Pregnancy® Prenatal Care, which combines prenatal care, education, and support in a visit with your medical provider, case manager, and other young women who will deliver at about the same time as you (Centering Healthcare Institute). Face to Face is an adolescent clinic (ages 11-24) offering prenatal medical care, case management services, postpartum support, child & teen checkups, school & sports physicals, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, family planning, pregnancy testing, and treatment for minor illness/injury. Face to Face also offers mental health counseling and support groups, insurance assistance through a registered MNSure Navigator, and referrals to other community agencies as needed. They also run SafeZone, a drop-in center for homeless youth.

Services Provided * Philomena House is a residence for homeless expectant mothers, staffed by volunteers and providing an informal educational program aimed at independent living. Homeless expectant mothers without other children or pets are invited to call for an interview. Guests stay through pregnancy and may (place for adoption or) parent their babies at Philomena House during the early months after birth. They agree in writing to standards conducive to learning and personal growth. An experienced volunteer mentor accompanies each guest during her stay in making a parenting plan for her baby. Mothers who plan for parenting are provided with parenting education. Mothers considering adoption are assisted by the staff through the process. All guests are provided pregnancy education. A follow-up procedure is maintained once the guest leaves. There is no charge for rent or any services provided.
