Student Parent Support Initiative Resource Materials
Minnesota's Student Parent Support Initiative addresses the health and educational needs of expectant and parenting college and university students.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Adolescent Health (OAH) released this video showcasing the Pregnancy Assistance Fund (PAF) in Minnesota. The PAF awarded funding to the Minnesota Department of Health for the Minnesota Student Parent Support Initiative (MSPSI) from 2011 through November 2017. The video showcases how partnerships with nine colleges helped support expectant and parenting students, increase re-enrollment rates, and promote health.
The following handout is for men, who are enrolled in a college or university and are expecting a child. The tip sheet describes practical ideas for balancing family responsibilities while pursuing a post-secondary degree.
