COVID-19 Telehealth Program
The State of Minnesota in partnership with Cue Health has a telehealth test-to-treat program to help ensure people in Minnesota have easy access to care and treatments (COVID-19 medications) and medication delivery that reduce their risk of serious illness or hospitalization. For more information on how to access this program, please visit Cue Health: COVID-19 Treatment in MN. This service is available at no cost.
People in Minnesota who have symptoms of COVID-19 AND tested positive OR been exposed to someone with COVID-19 can download the Cue Health app, use the Cue Health website, or call 844-609-2415 (toll-free) to talk with a licensed clinician who will evaluate them to determine if treatment is a good option. If they are a good candidate for a medication, the clinician can send the prescription to the patient’s local pharmacy of choice. In some geographic areas, those prescription medications can also be delivered for free to the patient’s home address.
Important things to know:
- This service is free and available from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. (CST), seven days a week.
- Health insurance is NOT required to receive a consultation.
- There may be a co-pay for the COVID-19 medications, but patient assistance programs are available to cover costs. The majority of patients will be able to obtain medications for free or at a low cost.
- This program is available to all people currently in Minnesota, regardless of residency or citizenship status. A state ID is NOT required.
- There are three ways to access the telehealth program: calling in via a telephone, using the smartphone app, or through the website. All three options offer the same level of service, so people are encouraged to choose the option that is easiest for them.
- For assistance in languages other than English, including ASL, Hmong, Somali, and Spanish, use the telephone number (844-609-2415, toll-free) to call in for assistance.
- People should seek COVID-19 Medications within the first five days of their symptoms, even if they are mild.
- COVID-19 medication may not be right for everyone, so that is what the clinician will help determine when you talk to them.
- This program works with all COVID-19 test results, including rapid at-home tests or test results from a lab. For more information on where to access COVID-19 tests, visit the MDH COVID-19 Testing website.
