Minnesota e-Health Initiative Advisory Committee
The Minnesota e-Health Advisory Committee is accepting applications at the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State Boards & Commissions website. Current members whose terms are ending are also welcome to reapply.
Established in 2004, under Minnesota Statute, the Minnesota e-Health Advisory Committee is responsible for developing recommendations and advising the Commissioner of Health on policies and processes to advance the use of health information technology, data use, data exchange, and related technologies.
Members represent perspectives from across Minnesota’s health care landscape, including providers, hospitals, health insurers and health plans, long-term care, public health, academic and research institutions, vendors, consumers, state agencies, and others.
The committee works to achieve the Minnesota e-Health Vision, where all communities and individuals benefit from and are empowered by information and technology that advances health equity and supports health and wellbeing. Past work has shaped legislation and enabled collaboration toward common goals. Members bring their expertise and lived experiences to support this effort.

Member Expectations and Time Committment
- Engage consistently throughout meetings
- Bring the perspective of their represented staekholder group to discussions and decision-making
- Participate in related activities such as work groups, coordinated responses, and other requests as needed
- Participate in approximately six meetings per year, including four to five virtual meetings lasting two hours each, and one to two three-hour in-person meetings (with a hybrid option)
How to Apply
- Apply through the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State Boards & Commissions website.
- Applicants should submit a resume. Additional materials are optional, but we recommend applicants include a brief statement describing their interest in serving on the committee and how they would contibute to its work.
- While applications will remain open until all seats are filled, we strongly encourage interested individuals to submit their application materials by June 30 to ensure appointmens are made before the first advisory committee meeting in early September.
