Substance Use and Overdose County Profiles

County profiles contain information on overdose deaths, nonfatal overdoses, substances used most frequently, opioid prescribing rates, and more.

With county-level data, communities can form a better understanding of their local data needs, prioritize resources, and inform future prevention planning. For any questions on county profile data, please contact a prevention staff member at health.drugodprev@state.mn.us.

For a walkthrough of how to use the county profiles, including a background and explanation of data used, please go to minute mark 4:51 of the County-Level Drug Overdose Profile Training.

*NOTE: Any 2021 drug overdose death data is considered preliminary and is likely to change when finalized. The 2021 data included here is indicative, not final, of 2021 drug overdose deaths.
