COVID-19 Updates

Update 12/30/2020:  Funeral directors and morticians will be eligible to receive vaccine in the “Phase 1a – Third Priority” group. It does not specifically list funeral directors and morticians in the Third Priority group on the Minnesota Guidance for Allocation and Prioritization of COVID-19 – Phase 1a (PDF) document, but it has been determined by the governor’s office that they are included.

Currently, the COVID-19 vaccine team is working on vaccinating people in Phase 1a – First Priority group, and timing of vaccinations for the different priority groups depends on is very much dependent upon how much vaccine is received in the allocations for Minnesota as things progress. Some planning is just starting on a local level for Phase 1a - second and third priority groups, so there are no concrete details yet for those groups. You do not need to get on a waiting list or make an appointment at this time. Updates will be provided when more people can be vaccinated and how eligible people can get vaccinated. Continue to check the website for up-to-date information on vaccination planning: COVID-19 Vaccine Information for Health Professionals.
