Lyme Disease (Borrelia burgdorferi)

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection caused by a tick bite and affects humans and animals. The Minnesota Department of Health is working with residents to limit exposure to the ticks causing the disease, as well as to monitor the spread of the disease across the state.
