Polio Disease Statistics

Polio has been eradicated in the United States. The last case of symptomatic polio in Minnesota was reported in 2008. Up to 95 percent of polio virus infections are not symptomatic. Polio infections without symptoms are not included in the table below. Continued success depends upon maintaining high immunization rates.
