Tetanus Basics

The best way to prevent tetanus is to be vaccinated. There are several combination vaccines used to prevent tetanus: diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine, tetanus-diphtheria (Td) vaccine, and tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.
