About working with Minnesota Infectious Disease
Minnesota is ranked one of the healthiest and most livable states in the nation. From numerous cultural opportunities and fantastic outdoor recreation to economic diversity and strong education systems, we have it all in Minnesota!
- More about Minnesota: Explore Minnesota
Minnesota’s public health system is known as one of the best in the nation. It is built upon a strong partnership between the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), local public health agencies, tribal governments, universities, and a range of other organizations.
Through the Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Prevention and Control (IDEPC) Division, we monitor the occurrence of infectious diseases, develop strategies for preventing and controlling disease, and work to put those strategies into action.
MDH's IDEPC Division is filled with a wide variety of investigative opportunities, in a dynamic work environment, with experienced mentors and an academic atmosphere with a strong publication history.
- More about IDEPC:
Choosing Minnesota will give you access to lots of exciting projects and programs including: the Unexplained Death and Critical Illness Program, agricultural exposures associated with zoonoses, emerging infections like SARS-CoV-2 and fatal Staphylococcus infections, and so much more!
