Office of African American Health
The Office of African American Health (Office) was established during the 2023 Legislative session to address the root causes of health disparities that disproportionately impact African American Minnesotans, with an emphasis on United States Born African American communities.
The Office carries out this mission by focusing on health care quality and access, education quality and access, economic stability, social and community context related to inclusion and representation in society, and neighborhood and built environment.

To eliminate health disparities affecting African American Minnesotans by advancing equitable, community-driven solutions that address the systemic and historical conditions impacting health across all areas of life.
