Are you looking for support, one-on-one or small group training, or assistance around health equity or community engagement?
The Minnesota Health Equity Networks are honored to provide health equity and community engagement training, assistance, coaching, and support to network members*, local public health, Tribal public health, and other community partners.

Once we receive and review your request, our team will set up a short phone call to clarify needs, expectations, and next steps. Please allow up to 2 to 3 weeks for a response.
*Network members are any person or organization that has participated in Minnesota Health Equity Networks gatherings, trainings, or other opportunities.
Training
Trainings are topic specific sessions designed in increase participants’ knowledge and understanding around the frameworks, practices, and mindsets of health equity. They are available for small or large groups and include the following topics:

Facilitation
Our facilitation work includes consulting with the requestor to develop an agenda, facilitating the meeting to ensure team members can fully participate, and taking notes to be sent back to the requestor as documentation of the meeting. Facilitation can be for small or large groups. Goals often include supporting strategic conversations, identifying important questions, building shared understanding, appreciating various perspectives, and supporting planning and/or implementation processes for health equity or community engagement work.
Topics may include:
- Equity-driven planning, such as strategic planning around health equity topics or programmatic planning that infuses health equity goals
- How to use and apply and equity lens in your work, such as policy review with an equity lens
- Preparing for an equity assessment
- Community engagement planning, including sustainable ways to consult and co-power with communities
Resource support
Network coordinators and other staff can work with partners to connect with people in their region, with other MDH staff, and with other community resources (including introductions to community organizations, lists of consultants, online resources, and readings and case studies) as needed and depending on the request. The goal of our resource support is to increase access to equity resources. Note that we cannot make referrals or recommendations for specific consultants.
