Statewide Conversation on Post-Viral Chronic Illness:
A Day of Learning, Connection, and Action

Join us for a statewide conversation to improve awareness, support, and community-driven solutions for post-viral chronic illnesses such as long COVID.
This gathering brings together partners and interest holders to foster collaborative strategies that can help:
- Improve long-term health outcomes
- Strengthen public health responses
- Enhance social support systems
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) will also introduce their Statewide Roadmap with actionable recommendations for people and organizations across sectors. There’s a role for everyone!
Why This Conversation Matters
Post-viral chronic illnesses, including long COVID, can significantly disrupt physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning long after an initial infection. Too often, these conditions go unrecognized or misunderstood due to limited awareness, overlapping symptoms, and gaps in research, diagnosis, and treatment.
Many individuals face challenges getting adequate health care, workplace or school accommodations, and community supports. Post-viral chronic illnesses can also impact families and places of employment.
Not everyone is affected in the same way, and some communities face greater barriers to receiving the support they need.
Let’s learn from each other and work toward stronger, more responsive communities and systems for people living with post-viral chronic illnesses.
