About the Minnesota Trauma Registrars Association
The Minnesota Trauma Registrars Association (MTRA) is a voluntary, cooperative organization of trauma registrars in the state of Minnesota.
Membership, Collaboration and Purpose
Trauma registrars from hospitals throughout the state meet quarterly, along with representatives from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). These meetings are to discuss and promote best practices in the development, maintenance, and use of trauma registry software and data, and to keep abreast of the latest news and information coming from the state trauma system.
Meeting Objectives
These meetings seek to provide:
- Information exchange to foster standardization among registries.
- Trauma program–related educational opportunities.
- Assistance in the development of new registries and trauma programs.
- Clarity around updates to requirements from:
- The National Trauma Data Bank,
- The MDH Statewide Trauma System
- The Injury and Violence Prevention Program
- The American College of Surgeons.
Meetings
Meetings will be held in the following months:
- February 2026
- June 2026
- October 2026
All parties with a vested interest in Minnesota trauma registries are welcome to attend. Meetings are held at various venues across the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
