Center for Health Care Affordability
Working Groups
The Health Care Affordability Advisory Task Force and the Provider and Payer Advisory Task Force will form working groups in fall 2026 to focus on specific topics. These smaller, optional groups are comprised of a mix of task force members.
Each working group will make recommendations to the Health Care Affordability Advisory Task Force, which will then make recommendations to the Center in consultation with the Provider and Payer Advisory Task Force.
All task force working group meetings are open for the public to observe and may also be attended virtually. Meeting information and materials will be posted prior to each meeting. Questions and comments for the task force may be submitted by email to health.affordability@state.mn.us. Please submit questions or comments at least one week prior to the meeting so they may be shared with task force members in advance.
Commercial Healthcare Prices
The Commercial Healthcare Prices working group will examine policy options for addressing high or variable prices paid by commercial health plans for healthcare services in Minnesota. Potential areas of focus may include high prices for select services, rapid price growth, and/or price variation for the same services.
