Cardiovascular Health

Cardiovascular disease, also called heart and blood vessel disease, includes coronary heart disease, heart attack, stroke, and several other conditions that affect blood flow to and the functioning of the heart.

Heart disease and stroke are the second and sixth leading causes of death in Minnesota. Combined, they are responsible for about a quarter of all deaths in Minnesota, ranking just ahead of cancer as the number one cause of death.
