MEDSS Training Resources
Minnesota Electronic Disease Surveillance System

The Minnesota Eletronic Disease Surveillance System (MEDSS) is a complex system, which allows for different users and roles to view different disease groups and functions that the system can offer. We offer several different training materials for the overall system and for each disease group.

Training Guide

  • Basic Training Manual for MEDSS (PDF)

MEDSS Training Module

The MEDSS training module is an online training that offers step-by-step instructions and videos on how to use MEDSS. This website is intended to help demonstrate the basic functions in MEDSS and is not specific by disease. This training is for anyone using MEDSS to report to MDH, investigate cases, or report to CDC.
